AI product photography for wine and spirits brands
Updated · Stillhouse
The short answer
Stillhouse photographs every bottle in your range in one set, lit by that set, with the label restored from your own product photo. Each frame is checked against your photo before you see it, so the vintage, the name and the mark on the label are the ones you bottle.
Photographing wine & spirits
A bottle of wine or spirits is mostly label and glass. The label is the brand, the vintage and the legal copy. The glass is dark, curved and reflective, and picks up everything in the room.
Drinks brands also release in vintages and limited runs, so the same bottle shape returns with a new label. A shared set keeps the range reading as one cellar.
Common photo problems
- 01
Dark glass swallows the product
A dark green bottle against a dark background disappears. It needs an edge of light along the shoulder and the base.
- 02
Labels wrap and curve
Foil, embossing and fine type bend around the bottle. They are easy for an image tool to smooth into mush.
- 03
Reflections show the studio
Glass reflects the room it is in. A bottle shot in a white box and pasted into a cellar looks pasted.
- 04
Vintages and limited runs
The same bottle with a new year on the label has to look like the last release, not a new brand.
What the studio does about it
- Lit by the room. The bottle is relit by the set it stands in, so the glass picks up the light from the window or the lamp.
- The label restored from your photo. The name, the year and the mark come back from the photo you uploaded.
- Vintages from one frame. Approve one bottle, then reshoot it for each vintage or cuvée. Each is checked against its own photo.

Questions
Will the label on the bottle be accurate?
The label is restored from the photo you upload, and each frame is checked against it. The studio can only bring back what your photo shows, so photograph the label sharp and straight on.
Are there advertising rules for alcohol?
Yes, and they differ by country and platform. Stillhouse photographs the bottle; what you may show or say on a page, in an ad or on a marketplace is yours to check.
Can I show the wine in a glass?
Yes, as a still life with the bottle and a glass in the set. Glass and liquid are hard to draw, so look at those frames before you publish.
